Childhood and child labor

Childhood for enjoyment
Childhood for playing
Why you want to crush their lives
Under your feet

Can’t you see they are small
They should only play with ball
They should now go to schools
And not fight for foods

Why you want to give them tears
Don’t they have their dreams
They are not for earning money
Don’t ruin their childhood
Sweet like honey

They polish people’s shoes on roadsides
They works as servants in your houses
They wash utensils in restaurants
Sometimes they are even given hammers for constructions

How you can be so rude
Don’t you like kid’s happy childhood
Never give them hammer
Their life for pen and paper
And my dream is to stop child labor

Hopeful eyes, happy smiles

Hopeful eyes, happy smiles
Soft hands, million dreams
Is this not the identity of a child?
Then why do i see
Tear filled eyes, terrified faces
Rough hands, and shattered dreams

Deprived of their childhood
Overloaded with work
Burdened with responsibility
At such a young age.

So much to learn
So much to accomplish
But not given enough time
Fight for a cause
Raise your voice
Stop child labor

Put a smile back on their face
Give them the childhood
That was stollen from them
Fight for a cause
Raise your voice
STOP CHILD LABOR

Why should we suffer?

Why should we suffer?
Why should we pay?
Why should we do this everyday?
We are tired of doing this everyday
Stop child labour

It’s like they don’t know how we feel
Because our age doesn’t seem that real
But we feel more pain than they do
And for what they’re doing
They should be sued
We are sick of doing this everyday
Stop child labour

Our cuts and bruises aren’t healing
As we do this day by day
It’s like they feel, but have no feelings
And aren’t bothered of what we have to say
We are tired of doing this everyday
Stop child labour

They get paid with the tears we shed
We get no love or a bed
We need some help
So someone help us please
Help us get some dignity
Have the courage to raise your voice
To help those in need
Those whose voices are so shattered
And whose lungs cannot breathe
We are sick of doing this everyday
Stop child labour

Our sunken eyes are tired of crying
Our hearts are sick of dying
Just remember
You were a child once too
We deserve a life
A life where we have no work to do
We are tired of doing this everyday
Stop child labour

So what we’re saying is not just noise
If you had a heart
You’d hear a voice
And stop child labour
